    For Your Consideration: Valley Dreamin’

Hey you! Send me an FYC image and I will put it up! I don’t care if I get one from 50 sites, I’ll find a way to get them all up, and as soon as possible (the nomination voting period only lasts until May 4th!). When you’re ready to vote, do it here: http://www.misterpoll.com/polls/430540

The second in our FYC series is from Valley Dreamin’. I’ll let author J.D. explain it, since he does such a good job...

    LAMMY Nomination Voting Progress

As a passive form of virtual pestering, I’ll be periodically posting this, a progress thermometer tracking the number of LAMMY voters to date. We’re currently at 8, versus a goal of 141, which is 50% of the eligible sites. For reference, last year, we had 35/78 (45%) voter turnout.

Horror bloggers – get on the ball soon or I’m coming for you. In general, you’re notoriously bad LAMB participants...

For Your Consideration: Spaghetti Sauce and Sweet Peas

There was mention of this in the comments section of the 2009 LAMMYs announcement post, but just in case you didn’t see that, this is your official invitation: send me an FYC image and I will put it up. I don’t care if I get one from 50 sites, I’ll find a way to get them all up, and as soon as possible (the nomination voting period only lasts until May 4th!). And let this also serve as the first official hint hint to vote:...

You are cordially invited to attend the 2009 LAMMY Awards

Can you feel the excitement? One year and over 200 additional LAMBs later, it’s time for the 2nd Annual LAMMYs. If you’re amongst the majority of LAMBs that was not yet a member for last year’s awards, be sure to click here for a recap of last year’s events. It’s a pretty self-explanatory event, and can be summed up in a nutshell like so:

Judge your peers! Brag about your standing within the...

Editor’s note: Scores given are for both parts combined unless noted. Average and mean are combined for the sake of simplicity, even though I know that makes them somewhat inaccurate.

  • Poll results; new poll

    Poll results; new poll

Yes, this post commemorating the results of the last poll is roughly a month old, considering it was about the Oscars. Better late than never, no?

Nothing much to interpret with them, either, as I was gauging interest in the Oscars telecast. With an audience of (mostly, I would assume) film bloggers, a tally of 71% with at least marginal interest and 52% with religious interest seems par for the course.
