LAMB #55 – Dave’s Blog About Movies and Such

by Dylan · March 23, 2008 · New LAMB · 1 Comment

Site Name: Dave’s Blog About Movies and Such

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
The goal of my blog is to bring attention to relatively lesser known movies. I write in depth of reviews of everything from trash to art. Occasionally, I make lists of movie related topics.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
My main goal is to expose people to movies that they otherwise would not have heard of. I also want to develop my critical skills. I want to continue this blog indefinitely, but I also see it as a starting place in my eventual goal as a screenwriter.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I definitely prefer an interactive community. Although my goal in this blog is to expose people to new movies, I realize that I can still learn a lot from readers. I also enjoy taking part in a spirited discourse if a reader disagrees with my assessment of certain movies.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I have only been doing this for a few months. I try to post updates one or two times a week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Exterminating Angel, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Dog Day Afternoon.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I found out about it from a Google search for movie blogs.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
