What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
Reviews.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I am into this blog for the sheer love of cinema; American, French, German, Italian, Hong Kong, Korean, Mexican, Indian – the country, language (or lack thereof), idiom, genre, style, theme, etc. don’t matter as long as the movie is worth watching. However, due to time constraints neither is it possible for me to review every movie that I watch or have watched, nor to provide lengthy deconstructions of the movies. Consequently I provide in my blog concise reviews of movies (got the idea from http://www.allmovie.com/) – ones I have watched recently as well as ones I might have watched some time back. The idea is to put into words my opinions, thoughts and critical appraisals about movies that I have liked.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I’m not here to teach anybody. I’m here to express my views as well as to know the views of fellow movie bloggers. So ‘interactive’ would have to be my answer.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I have not been movie blogging for long (posted my first review on May 29, 2008); so I’m trying to catch up by posting 1 or 2 reviews nearly every day. As on June 18, 2008 I have 38 movie reviews posted at my blog.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
It is absolutely impossible to name 3 favourite movies. So here are the names of the first 3 contemporary movies that came to my mind:
Fargo (Coen Bros.)
Chungking Express (Wong Kar-Wai)
Amores Perros (Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu).
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I regularly browse for good movie blogs. It was during one of those browsing sessions that I came across this unique site. Thanks to LAMB I won’t have to spend so much time on blog browsing any more.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
Do stroll by my blog and let me know your comments about the movies that I have reviewed.
