What is the main focus of your site?
We review films that we have seen as children, though now through the eyes of an adult: Same Movie, Same Person, Different Perspective. Analyze how much nostalgia has influenced our perception of the film. We have to have at least a 10-year distance of viewing the film, for films that we have seen repeatedly throughout the years tend to grow with us.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Fun, surprising experiences with film and how we can watch the same exact movies and have them mean something completely new to us as we age.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I think we are all students. The films are unchanged.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Personally, I have been blogging for three years, this site for about seven months. We usually update two or three times a month.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
This is like Sophie’s Choice, man (no, that’s not one of my selections,
either). Star Wars (the REAL first one). Singin’ in the Rain, Fight
Club.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Through posters on my site.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
I have reviewed films (usesoapfilm.wordpress.com), started a film festival (rehobothfilm.com), taught film (dtcc.edu) and really love every aspect of it and how its shaped my life. I enjoy the power of film and its importance to our society and culture.
