What is the main focus of your site?
The period 1925-35, Late silent movies, the transition to talkies, early talkies and pre-code films. Stylish music and other phenomenons from the same period.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
My goal is to entertain and spread some light on a sadly forgotten era of entertainment. It’s so sad so few of the movies from this period are preserved for us to enjoy. About 75% of all the movies from the years 1925-35 are lost forever. The early musicals made in color before 1934 have an even greater loss-percentage. Some actors and actresses work has almost been totally erased due to this. Another cause pushing these movies towards total oblivion is the studios reluctance to release what they have left on DVD.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Interactivity is preferable.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started blogging in 2005 with a personal Swedish blog containing many different subjects. Over time the blog slowly turned into a movie and general vintage blog. In September 2008 I went international by starting All Talking! All Singing! All Dancing!, a new blog that concentrates more firmly on the subject, leaving out much of the personal stuff. I try to update it as frequently as possible, normally ending up in 1-2 posts a week.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Last Laugh (1924), Rio Rita (1929), Trouble In Paradise (1932)
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Raquel of Out Of The Past told me about it.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
