What is the main focus of your site?
Exploring the most awesomely obscure horror and sci-fi movies I can find, with a special emphasis on the early ’90s and films currently unavailable on region 1 DVD.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
It’s mainly an attempt to make the exact sort of blog that I would like to read: in depth information about (usually violent) cinematic oddities.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I love hearing people’s reactions and suggestions, but for now I’m settling for being a teacher.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started writing regularly and seriously just this year. I try to knock out a full length “review” once a week, with two or three minor posts keeping it company.

I don’t have a rating system or review movies in the normal sense, but unless I am specifically writing about a movie’s unholy terribleness, every film featured on Video Updates meets a minimum unique and/or awesomeness threshold.
