What is the main focus of your site?
I write about the ideas, memories and environments associated with the films I watch. I don’t consider what I do to be reviews, because I’m less concerned with the content and craft of a film as I am with my experience watching it.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Naturally, I want to make this the best blog I can. I try to provide a variety of content; for example, I’m also a cartoonist, and every week I provide original film-related art of some kind. I want to be a better writer as well. Once I build a bigger audience, I’d like it to become a community of smart, savvy movie fans and to do stuff for them through WSW.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Definitely interactive. I want to be able to discuss a variety of things with my readers, and I use movies as the basis for that.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started WSW in August 2010, and as of this writing I’m up to posting six days a week.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Sunset Boulevard
Breaking the Waves
Chasing Amy
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I saw the link on a classic film LAMB blog. Don’t recall which one it was.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
I’m trying to build something unique with WSW, so any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
