What is the main focus of your site?
I and my fellow Guardians write about the many virtues of our three favorite genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. I, Fritz “Doc” Freakenstein, am the moderator of this blog. I write about any of my many interests in these three genres, but I do predominantly post movie reviews. I don’t often look back to the past, but I instead concentrate on current and future genre-specific projects by some of my favorite artists, writers and musicians of the many and varied media to which I am currently enamored. I occasionally post reviews by my friends and fellow Genre Guardians: Professor Phileas Photon, Major Mac Maniac and Bill E. Bones.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Personally I would like to share my enthusiasm for and interest in my favorite science fiction, fantasy and horror movies with anyone with similar interests. My only goal for Guardians of the Genre is to present our interests, opinions and some of our creative endeavors to anyone who shares our passions.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I really enjoy the response and feedback that I get from readers of our blog and always like to interact with my community of fellow bloggers.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I have been actively posting on Guardians of the Genre since January 23, 2010. I post updates on my site about one a week on average.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Bladerunner, Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, The Mummy
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Yes. Radiator Heaven.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
We like to have fun on our blog and don’t ourselves or anything else too seriously. When or if you visit Guardians of the Genre be prepared to enter our virtual world where science fiction, fantasy and horror can and often will appear to be real.
