What is the main focus of your site?
Well, we don’t really have just one. We’ve spread our foci all over the site: reviews, lists, news, podcasts, games – we’re doing a little bit of everything, or at least trying to.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
We’re keeping our nose to the grindstone and reaching for the stars. Or dreaming for the stars. Or something like that. Anyway, we’re thinking big – we’d like our site to be the next /Film or Rotten Tomatoes or Film School Rejects. A full-service movie website with great writing.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
We thrive on interactivity; it’s the lifeblood of our site and was born into it from the start. Having a bunch of contributors with a vested interest helps, too.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Since May 16, 2011. [Editor’s Note: Normally, a three-month minimum is required, but when you’re founder of the LAMB, I’ll let this requirement slide.] We have 2-4 posts per day, every day.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
I think if Kai and I had to put together a shared “Dylan and Kai Top Three,” they’d be Fight Club, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Pulp Fiction.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
This…is a toughie.
For those unaware, that’s a joke. I founded the LAMB in 2007, and LAMB #1 (Blog Cabins) is the site I shut down in favor of starting up Man, I Love Films along with Kai, who shut down his own site, The List.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
If you haven’t updated from BC and The List to Man, I Love Films in your blogrolls and feed readers, please do so! Thanks! 🙂
