What is the main focus of your site?
Having studies film for over 6 years and having graduated the Toronto Film College I have much experience in viewing and explaining films; what makes them good, great, or terrible. And with aspirations of becoming a filmmaker I like to provide older and newer film critiques on my blog as an affirmation that I am skilled in dissecting films for studying and entertainment purposes.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I want to be noticed. I want others to note that I view film with passion and as a hobby, and blogging film reviews and essays is one way to do so, I believe.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I prefer an interactive community because I am always learning, as are teachers, but I hadn’t studied films for long enough to be able to call myself a “teacher” of sorts; or even an expert. As it stands, I believe that I’m just wonderfully knowledgeable.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
My first entry on my blog was January 16, 2009 and I add a review every few months or so. If accepted into the LAMB I will definitely be writing critiques more often, as often as bi-weekly.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Lawrence of Arabia, Floating Weeds (1959), Citizen Kane.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I’ve noticed that some blogs which I frequent have a LAMB stamp and I was curious as to what it meant. Nowing what it is, I would love to be a part of it for it would make my blog more popular and more visible.
