What is the main focus of your site?
The Motley View is a peer-reviewed, collaborative e-journal concerned with everything film, art and aesthetics. Its scope is neither restricted to a singular methodology, epoch or type of film or artwork. Though we are partial to a bit of film noir and sci-fi

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I originally intended to get into academia however I couldn’t stand the constant bending over and laughing at bad jokes and wanted the site to be a place I got to write the research and papers I want. The site is ultimately a creative/analytical outlet

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Just a place to discuss film art and aesthetics with all views and approaches being accepted so leaning towards the interactive community

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Active since Oct 2008. We now publish a research article once a week but hope to increase to another mid-week “magazine” peice and short film analysis into the mix
