What is the main focus of your site?
Style in the movies. Old Hollywood has always been an influence on mainstream fashion, and it continues to be an inspiration in the collections today. GlamAmor features films that are known or should be known for their style–from costume design to art direction–along with the connection to today’s fashion. Also Los Angeles architecture and history is celebrated as well since those stylish locations figure so prominently in film.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
GlamAmor–both the blog and related boutique vintage collection–has established me as a style expert. I want GlamAmor to continue to be a point of inspiration and information for professional designers and working women (and men) alike. GlamAmor has grown from blog to social media to podcasts to videos, and I would like it to continue to evolve into an ongoing show/series.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Primarily teacher-student, but I enjoy insights and opinions of others as well.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Two years
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more):
Rear Window, Manhattan, and La Dolce Vita.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Movie Star Makeover, who just became a LAMB.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
Because of GlamAmor, I have become a style expert for Turner Classic Movies and featured in their podcasts.
