What is the main focus of your site? Intelligent, observant, and thoughtful analysis of the film, TV and the entertainment world. DAVID BARUFFI’S ENTERTAINMENT VIEW AND REVIEWS! Includes Random Weekly Movie Reviews, Cannon of Film blogs and Critical essays on the latest goings of the entertainment world and culture.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? Well, I am a screenwriter by trade, but I need to be creative, and due to my personal situation, I can’t get out of the house, and certainly not to L.A., so I put out my work, any way I can. I have to be heard, in some manor, in some manner, so this appropriate, and some friends encourage to put out opinions and reviews, and they tend to think I might make a good film critic. Basically, I want to someday get paid to write something. Commentaries, analysis, my stories, or criticisms, as long as I can be creative, I write it.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? I wish more people would interact with me, and challenge me and question me. I’ve asked for more comments all the time, and rarely get them. I don’t know, honestly if people percieve that or not however.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) My first entries, July or August of 2011, and I’ve been regularly, about every 2-3 days since.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). Really, only three. Well, “Casablanca”, my all-time favorite. Wow, so many. “Pulp Fiction” I guess, I’ve been thinking about that one lately. And-eh, I guess from last year, my favorite was “Midnight in Paris”, although I ranked something else as the best film from that year.
Name a movie you hate!! I gave a ZERO STAR review to “Winnie-the-Pooh”, last year, which I’ve only done one other time, and that was for a film that was a decade old or something, so I’ll say “Winnie-the-Pooh”.
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? I don’t remember, but I think I just was looking movie bloggers like me before, and found you guys.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above. (optional) I don’t any new questions I want asked to me, but I do want to be apart of the LAMBs, but I must say, I’ve always been a little confused by the goals of the site. I think it seems like sometimes, it’s more interested in the bloggers themselves, than the movies, and I find that curious, so I’ve always found this site confusing. I guess it’s a good social place for like-minded people, and I’m not a social person naturally, but I need to get better at it, so I think this could help, but I don’t know. I still get puzzled by the site; maybe it’ll make sense once I’m allowed in.
