| What is the main focus of your site? | Redhead at the Movies has a particular (though not exclusive) emphasis on the horror genre. It does also contain a diverse range of comprehensible film reviews and fun movie lists. This blog also prominently features personal opinion essays about any current entertainment news and probing pop culture phenomena of varying topics. |
| What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? | I started this blog partly for fun and partly for practice; I enjoy writing about movies academically but wanted to blend that experience with my own voice, one that is funnier and more accessible. I do hope also that others find my blog interesting and enjoyable to read. Overall though, I really hope it helps me in my career goals of maybe one day being a film critic. |
| Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? | I always enjoy a good pop culture debate, so while I may be sharing my knowledge, I’m also sharing my opinions. So I definitely encourage and welcome others to start a conversation, if whatever topic I wrote about happens to incite others to do so! |
| How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) | I started this blog in late June of 2013 as a reviews only blog, but now that I have different kinds of regular posts that are unique to my site, I try to post at least one entry per week. Sometimes I’ll write more if I have the time to, but one every week or so is my minimum goal while also juggling all the writing that comes with my last year of undergrad! |
