What is the main focus of your site? The main focus of our site is to review movies! We don’t necessarily focus on the newest releases, and there is no time period we avoid. We will always make a point to curate lists as well as engaging the debate with the movie blogging community with Meta posts. There are two of us here (Ernie and Lauren), so we have most genres (horror to chick-flicks) covered.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? Our ultimate aim is to write a film together. We both worked together making a 10 minute short, which I wrote and did cinematography for and Lauren played the lead role. Frame Rates was started as a way to get some practice writing as well as having a create outlet for our movie watching passion.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? We want to be interactive and members of the community that engage debate, however we do have a segment called Film School where we discuss more in-depth ideas and analysis about our favourite movies.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) We started at the beginning of March, 2013, and we aim to have at least one review posted per day. We’ve managed this and some so far!
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). I am going to pick one of my faves, one of Lauren’s faves and one we both share equal favouritism for! These movies are, respectively, Mulholland Dr., Shawshank Redemption and The Shining.
Name a movie you hate!! The Hottie and the Nottie
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? We caught the Twitter buzz from our followers a while back and have been following since then!
