Site Name: Reel Whore

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
The focus of the Reel Whore is movie reviews but I have been known to dabble in entertainment-related commentary, both true and fictional, when the soapbox presents itself.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I wanted to exercise my writing talents on a larger platform. Ideally my observations, clear enjoyment of film, and general writing talent would win me fame, fortune, and the opportunity to work with my film heroes to create my own films. At the least, I’d hope that Brad and Angelina would adopt me, if not as their child, then as a bedroom toy.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I liken myself to a movie-savvy Moses; shepherding my readers through the vast Red Sea of films that threatens to wash away our precious time and dollars. However, I would prefer a little community interaction; had Moses had more input from followers maybe he could have whittled those Ten Commandments down to a tidy seven.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Since August 2007, I have tried to post my reviews a minimum of once per week. Prior to entering the blogosphere I have been dishing up written movie reviews to a handful of lucky (and tolerant) friends since 2003. I don’t even remember how long I was providing oral gratification.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Arrgh! The bane of a movie lover’s existence; the dreaded narrowing of thousands of beloved films into a fractional and fractured list that cannot possibly adequately represent one’s film affinity…but I digress. Let’s say, in no particular order: The Big Lebowski, Ghostbusters, and The Fifth Element.

Any additional comments.
If you could be any type of film, what kind of film would you be?
Isn’t it obvious? An exploitation film, especially if I could choose my own stars!
