URL: http://lurple.com/
Site Name: Lurple.com
Categories: Reviews, Editorials, Humor
Rating: Probably R (some adult language, films reviewed can be rather extreme)

What is the main focus of your site?
Mostly reviews of obscure and bad movies, cult classics, animated films, and international cinema. Now and then I review something more mainstream. I write about other things from time to time, but it’s mostly movie reviews. We’ve also just started featuring some guest reviews.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I watch a lot of fairly odd stuff; some of it is pretty cool and I wish more people knew about it. I’d been wanting to write more frequently, so I figured it was the right time to start a website.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
An interactive community. Reviews are just opinions and thoughts, and I enjoy discussing movies with people. That’s the best way to find out about interesting new films. And interesting old films.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I’ve been writing reviews here and there for quite a while. Lurple.com has been up for a few months now. The site is usually updated a few times a week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
I suspect a lot of people hate this question; it’s very hard to pick just three. I’ll pick the Seven Samurai, Spirited Away, and The Adventures of Robin Hood (with Errol Flynn).

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Several sites I read are members.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
None.
