What is the main focus of your site?
I mainly promote my reviews on Epinions – I’ve been a Top Reviewer in Movies there for a few years now, and am one of the top ten most read movie reviewers of all time on that site. However there’s always room for more readers! 😀
I also publish some general chatter about older films / forthcoming releases. I also feature a lot of movie trailers to give people a taster.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I have several blogs, and part of my plan is to one day earn a living online (a looooong way off… if even possible!) However at the moment, mainly I’m just having fun writing, interacting with other bloggers, and experimenting with different design ideas.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I much prefer interactivity – I hate it when I don’t get any comments! After all, interacting with others is what the internet is really all about. You get to exchange views with people you’d never meet otherwise.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I checked back to my first post and was very surprised to realise that my movie blog is now a bit more than a year old. To be honest though it’s not until the last couple of months that I’ve been seriously trying to keep it updated regularly and promoting it actively.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Ooh, that’s a tough one. I’ve always loved A Beautiful Mind – so many nuances to that one. Despite all the fuss about Return of the King, I’ve always felt that The Two Towers was not only the best Lord of the Rings film, but probably the best fantasy movie ever made. So that I can sound a bit more cultured and mention an old film, I have to say that out of MANY Humphrey Bogart films I love, To Have and Have Not will always be my favourite.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Through your forum post at BlogCatalog. Sounded like an interesting idea, though from the abbreviation I hadn’t realised what it was about at first!
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
What is the worst film ever made?
Even tougher to choose… though obvious choices such as Batman and Robin & Star Trek V come to mind, I might have to plump for a little known Brad Pitt movie called Dark Side of the Sun – not only terrible, but deeply depressing!
