What is the main focus of your site?
Commentary and interviews with Independent filmmakers. With a title like The Movie Whore there is a lot of B-movie stuff and movies you just don’t hear a lot about.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I do a lot of work with indie filmmakers and you can see under The Movie Whore Mission page what it is I am trying to build. A copy of that info is below.

Before I knew what and Independent movie was I was a fan of independent movies.

They tend to be better and more entertaining. They have less formula and more of a soul. The film makers have more passion for what they do and it comes through.

It is my love of independent movies that drives what I do. The mission of this website is to find film makers that are making their own movies and give them a little more exposure and try to put them together with people that can help. I review films from these film makers but I refuse to give a bad review to indie film maker that is making movies with their own money. If I don’t think the movie is up to snuff I will give that film maker my personal notes privately to use for future projects and when they have something good I will give it a review on here. I will also give them an interview to get them more exposure.

The Movie Whore has friends and occasionally these friends do me some favors because somewhere down the line I helped them out.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?

I like to have both and write my posts accordingly. Some are teacher student posts and others are opinion posts looking for a discussion and differing opinions. I love a good debate.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I have been doing this online with my site since April and I post 5-6 times a week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Man Who Would be King, The Fountain, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
My tag is “A life wasted on, I mean devoted to film.” And it really is true. Film is an obsession for me and I have forgotten more movies then a lot of people have seen. I also am working with 2 productions companies as a creative consultant, co- writer and producer. I also work with no budget filmmakers as a creative consultant and have reviewed several scripts to help these guys make better flicks. I also will be having one of these filmmakers doing a production diary when he starts shooting his next flick. I started doing this because I am arrogant film fan (like most of us) and it has developed into something much more and is quite the personally rewarding endeavor.
