What is the main focus of your site?
To give people interested in a certain movie, or fans of a certain movie, entertaining reviews that make people laugh and maybe want (or not want) to see the film they read the review on. I have a “Things I’ve Learned…” section that is pretty much my sarcastic list of things that happened in the film mixed with pop culture. Plus I have a WTF? Worst Films Extravaganza series where the worst films get the bashing that they deserve in the most humorous of ways. A majority of the reviews on the site are for horror films because it’s my favorite genre and I’m pretty knowledgeable on the subject. But I do review other genres if I feel I have something worthwhile to say about it.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’ve been a movie fan since I can remember. I’ve also been a writer for probably just as long. Being a film major and studying to become a future filmmaker, reviewing films has allowed me to see what works and what doesn’t. Plus, I just enjoy opening up about films I enjoy and about films I don’t. I’m an honest guy who isn’t gonna B.S. about my feelings for any movie. I think people appreciate that.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I wouldn’t be reviewing films if there were no interaction. I believe in the first amendment. I thrive on hearing what people have to say about a film. If they agree or disagree with my review, it’s all good. I love debating about movies. I even let people pick certain films they want me to review and I usually do for their amusement and mine. I think an interactive community is the way to go.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started in October of 2006 on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/dawolf_81) and pretty much created this website as a back-up for all my reviews in April of 2008. Now it’s pretty much my main website and I usually post MySpace blogs leading readers to my Blogspot and not the other way around. Most likely, there’s an update at least once a week. I usually do like 2 or 3 a week, sometimes more. Depends on my schedule.

Lots of sunflower seeds, Pixie Stix, and vodka. Not necessarily in that order.
