LAMB #1041 – Better Than Avatar

Site Name: Better Than Avatar
Categories: Reviews, General, Humor, Lists
Rating: PG

What is the main focus of your site?
Better than Avatar started as a movie review blog that specifically compared all movies to Avatar, a movie which I did not like. It has since morphed into more of a general movie review blog. I review more than just new releases, and like to spread the word about under the radar films or films people may have missed or forgotten about.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
For me, it was just about doing something that I love. I love movies, and have for most of my life, but I wanted to do more than just watch them. I love talking about them as well, and blogging allows me to talk about movies on a broader scale than just in conversations. It would be great if anything came out of this, like a job or a career even, but that’s not why I do it. I do it for the movies.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I’d like for my readers to interact with me. I’d love for people to suggest movies to watch.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Site has been active since February of 2011. Posts are done about 3-5 times per week, sometimes daily.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Clerks, Memento, Pootie Tang.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
