What is the main focus of your site?
Blogging is obviously about having a personal voice, and I’m a prime example. NoiseOnTrial does a pretty even mix of movies and music – though generally, I have more to say about film.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
A substantial amount of hits is nice, but the main goal is to establish my voice in the film community. I look to becoming a freelance film writer, hopefully as a career.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
As much as I would like to say I am Emperor Palpatine to my Darth Vaders, I really want NoiseOnTrial to become a more community-based deal. Everyone has an opinion, after all.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Looking at my stats, NoiseOnTrial is celebrating its 1st birthday. I aim to get a new post published every day – if failing that, every two days.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more):
1. The Lord of the Rings trilogy (I’m sorry, I can’t split them individually!)
2. The Shawshank Redemption (Yadda yadda. There’s a reason it’s universally loved)
3. Inception (Nolan’s best so far – at least until TDKR…)
Name a movie you hate!!
Juno. Pandering, smug and feigning charm.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
From Ashley Clarke, another freelancer who writes for Little White Lies magazine.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.No. 1 most typical interview question:
Q: ‘Why do you want this job?’
A: Because I can do, and will continue to do it brilliantly.
