What is the main focus of your site? The main focus of “Hi Fi… High Fidelity” is to offer suggestions and musings on films, genres, and directors. I have a degree in film studies from MSU and currently starting my career in Los Angeles as a producer’s assistant. It’s certainly my voice, not that of a critic. I also suggest music, literature, and other art.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? My goal is to urge fellow cinephiles to take their film watching very seriously. Like a body builder needing to lift daily, a cinephile must consume films daily. I urge people to pick a particular master (director, actor, etc.) and watch their entire catalogue. It’s a great way to learn film.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? Interactive. Though my background in film studies an theory offers something to learn, I prefer an open community where we all learn from each other.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) This site has been activated for a little under a year.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). Boogie Nights, My Own Private Idaho, Sullivan’s Travels
Name a movie you hate!! Any and all of the “Scary Movie” series
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? I found out about it through a link on a different blog.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above. (optional) My blog has a sense of humor, which is pretty dry.
