| What is the main focus of your site? | I review recent releases primarily, tending to use more magazine-style/journalistic style writing to express what I thought is the particular movie’s strengths and weaknesses. I’m no film maker or producer, so I just offer an opinion from the POV of a lover of film. Plain and simple! I titled my blog ‘Digital Shortbread’ to evoke the different styles, tones, and general experiences we get through the digital creations that are film. Also, I’m a bit of an oddball. The title fit. |
| What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? | I would honestly love a job reviewing films for SLATE, Collider or a variety of online sites or papers. Since newspapers are seeming to be a thing of the past (at least in certain areas anyway) my main goal is to get published online. This is mainly why I try to write articles that are less conversational and more professional. The more followers I am getting does not bother me so much as I believe I am doing a film the justice by writing fair and balanced reviews. |
| Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? | I love community, sharing and comparing my interpretations with others. |
| How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) | I began DSB in the summer of 2011 and haven’t looked back since. Well, I did once but then I quickly got over my own self-doubt. I try to post SOMETHING once a week, even if it is not a new review. I’ve since added new pages which discuss movies of past decades and such. |

I just downright love love LOVE that show, even if there is plenty of evidence supporting the notion that this is a Sex & the City for dudes….well-acted, engaging and informative, it is as good as one can expect a show based on Hollywood to be.) |
