What is the main focus of your site? | Silent London is primarily for UK-based silent film fans. It’s the only palce where you can find listings for silent film screenings in London. I also post reviews, previews, news, podcasts and guest blogs form experts. |
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? | I wanted to spread the word about how many live silent movie screenings there are in the capital. As the site has grown, it has become a focus for the UK silent film community and widened its editorial scope to cover silent movie news and reviews |
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? | Silent London is definitely more of an interactive community. We don’t get too many comments, but our readers are invited on to podcasts and guest blogposts and social media is very important to what we do |
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) | The site has been active since November 2010 and I post at least once a week as a rule, plus social media engagement – posting news and links |
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). | Sunrise, Sherlock Jr, L’Atalante |
Name a movie you hate!! | |
