What is the main focus of your site? | Thoughtful commentary on character, identity and cultural significance in film with some exhibition reviews and costume posts thrown in for good measure. Born out of a personal passion, it’s evolved into an examination of female representation on screen. |
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? | To expand my knowledge of classic film, this blog is essentially a way to document the films I’ve watched and what I thought of them. If, one day, it should turn into something more, then that would be a bonus. I’m also keen to connect with passionate classic movie fans across the globe as sometimes it feels like there’s not that many in the UK! |
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? | Definitely an interactive forum – this blog is my exploration of classic film and I love recommendations / new thoughts / suggestions and recognise that there are true ‘experts’ who have more knowledge than I can imagine! |
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) | Post weekly (usually on a Sunday). Active since March 2011. |
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). | Double Indemnity Grease All About Eve |
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? | Silver Screenings and Caftan Woman |
