What is the main focus of your site? Thriller, Horror, and Drama that makes you think. I’ve been reviewing films on my blog since 2008 but in 2015 I started getting serious about presentation. I have started podcasting recently as well. I focus on a pristine review format of the films and take care to let readers form their own opinions.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? I hope to review every film that comes out each year. I use a template that has evolved, and should continue to, and allows me to archive these films to spur conversation and help readers pick the right movie they want to see. My top priority is always value for the reader.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? Interactive is a dream come true. I feel it happening with more comments and twitter reactions, since I got more serious in 2015.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) My earliest review on this blog is from 2008 but you’ll find them archived way back to 2005 on my personal blog, where I started experimenting with movie reviews (Riley Central).
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). Turbo Kid
Cactus Flower
A River Runs Through it
Name a movie you hate!! Magic Mike
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? Two cinephile friends suggested the LAMB to me: MovieRob and Darren Lucas. Thanks you guys!
Other question The discipline of blogging daily improves my ability to mentally solve problems. Movie Review posts help me frame and write my opinions and become more open minded about the way other viewers see movies. I wish I would have started blogging movie reviews long ago. When people think of my blog I hope they think “open minded” yet “structured.”
