Lambscores: Take a Trip to the Beach, or the City

by Jay Cluitt · August 18, 2017 · LAMBscores · No Comments

Three movies for you this week. Dunkirk, as you might have guessed, is quite rightfully receiving a great deal of praise, and I couldn’t be happier about that. It’s now #2 on our leaderboard for the year, so hurrah! There’s also good news for the apparently-much-better-than-Rough-Night Girls Trip, so yay! The third movie is Valerian, and it’s perhaps one of the most divisive films of 2017 so far. I’ve heard people who loved it and people who despised it, and we’ve got a selection across the board that depicts those views. Anyway, here’s what the LAMB community had to say about these movies:

If you want to get involved, here’s how LAMBScores work: Over in the LAMB Forums there’s a sub-board called LAMBScores. If you’ve written a review or recorded a podcast on a new release, find (or create) the thread there, and leave a link to your review, along with your site name and a score out of 5. Three weeks after the film has received a wide release the reviews will be collated and posted here, as long as there are at least five.
