A few weeks ago on the Lambcast we held a 1987 Movie Draft, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of both that year and Jay’s birth. On the show, Jay competed against Todd, Nick, Richard and Dylan to assemble the best team of movies released in 1987, and now it’s time to announce the winner, but you can still go back and listen to that show here. It was a very close race, but in the end it seemed the listeners all gave Jay birthday gifts in the form of votes, because his team won the poll!
Jay’s team was comprised of Predator, Raising Arizona, Withnail & I, The Monster Squad and The Running Man. Here are the full results:
If you have any suggestions for future drafts, leave a note in the comments!

Clearly, my lack of campaigning hurt. How else to explain losing to Richard’s team?!?
Ignominious defeat. Congratulations, it was two Arnold films that had to have pushed you “over the top”. Dylan simply does not understand that Robocop is worth more than three of his picks. What fun, hope to do it again sometime soon.
Yeah, but I still think Dylan has the best movie of all the teams; The Princess Bride.
I think Jay cheats! how else does he always win these things? 🙂 r u sending out mass emails my friend? 🙂
Not at all, I just pick the best films!
guess that’s also a way to win 🙂
It all involves when to stop counting. Ask The Vern.
