We at the LAMB decided to start a new annual competition for predicting Oscar nominations. (We will also be doing an Oscar Pool.) This year’s nominees will be announced on 22 Jan, so let’s get started with the rules:

The rules are quite simple:

1. This contest is open to any interested bloggers.
2. To submit your predictions: Fill out this form with your predictions for the 21 Oscar categories. (We won’t be including the 3 ‘short’ categories). You must send us your final predictions by 11:59PM GMT on January 21st, 2019.
3. Here are the categories we need you to include:

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN
BEST SOUND MIXING
BEST SOUND EDITING
BEST COSTUME DESIGN
BEST ORIGINAL SCORE
BEST ORIGINAL SONG (name the song, not just the film)
BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE
BEST ANIMATED FEATURE
BEST VISUAL EFFECTS
BEST MAKEUP & HAIRSTYLING

SCORING
Each correct prediction will earn you 1 point. However, in the Best Picture category, every wrong prediction will lose you 1 point. With the current rules for this category (anywhere between 5-10 nominees), this will force you to choose wisely!
