What is the main focus of your site?
To start discussions about film that can include everyone, from film buffs to casual moviegoers, with an aim to entertain and inform in equal measure.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
To reach a wider audience, and hopefully monetize the site somewhat through ad revenue or an online tip jar. There is also a biweekly podcast in the works.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I enjoy interacting with the community via social media, and appreciate comments or insights on my posts or reviews. I believe that we should be discussing film, not dictating how others should think.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.)
I first started the site in late December 2020, and for a period I made a post every day. Now there is a good foundation on the site, I aim to upload a post every other day (3-4 posts per week).
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Blade Runner (1982)
The Cable Guy (1996)
Spirited Away (2001)
Name a movie you hate.
Left Behind (2014)
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one?
Bonus comment
I have experience writing about film and TV for WhatCulture, but in the last few months I’ve really enjoyed immersing myself in the online film community, and have found everyone to be really welcoming on social media. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to connect with more like-minded film fans and reach a wider audience.
Is there an article on your site you are particularly proud of that you would like the LAMB to promote?
I am particularly proud of my “Unpopularity Content” series, in which I review films with bad reputations. I’m especially proud of my latest UC review of Sahara (2005).
