Well, the LAMB celebrated its 50th member just the other day, so it seems a fine time to check up on some other news:
LAMB Membership…booming?
The Oscars event certainly brought the LAMB a lot of exposure, and it showed with a strong February that earned us 13 new sites. March may look down on the chart below, with nine new sites (including two that I have yet to post), but the month is only half-over, so it’s likely...
The LAMB Leaderboard is a way for the LAMB to scratch the backs of the sites that have scratched the LAMB’s back – in other words, it’s a ranking of the top 20 sites that are sending visitors to the LAMB. The leaderboard is updated monthly, typically within the first few days of the new month.
As you no doubt noticed, there is an image located next to each site name. The way this will work is easy: if a LAMB has sent...

...I’ve installed a tiny new feature to the LAMB – the “Random LAMB.” Each time you visit or reload the page, a different LAMB’s site banner might greet you. This is just a way to get some visual exposure to those interested, and another way to add some graphics to the page.
We have an excellent gallery of banners already – click here to see it. If you’d like yours added, create and send me a...
Try your hand at the LAMB Oscar Pool – the top scorer will win a movie of their choice from Amazon (up to $19.99, not including tax/shipping). The contest is open to non-LAMBs as well – that’s right, anyone can enter! Feel free to send along the info to friends and family – the more the merrier, right?
To play, simply go here (http://www.misterpoll.com/polls/324566) and make your picks for who you...
Thanks for tuning in to The LAMB Broadcasting Corporation – the LBC (not to be confused with any Snoop Dogg organization of the same name).
This week on LBC News, a special report on the trafficking of internet traffic, an expose on torture porn in the San Fernando Valley, and Andy Rooney chimes in with six things that made him angry in the last three minutes (spoiler alert: one of them is an umbrella). But first, these...
About a month ago, Mrs. Fletch and I worked together to create some buttons that you LAMBs (or anyone else) could place on your sites. As we soon learned, however, noticeably absent from the button assortment were those with black backgrounds, for those of you with black backgrounded sites. This was driving us both nuts, and it might have been driving you nuts as well. These things happen in the world of graphic design. This has been...
Okay, almost everything has been settled – all but one award has been granted to a LAMB (and even one to a not-yet LAMB – thanks to Daniel from Getafilm). That one would be Best Picture. Things shook out a little differently than I expected, so I’m going to call a small audible on what I had previously stated regarding this category, if only because I don’t want to assume too much.
So, for the LAMBs that...
(Editor’s note to non-LAMBs: In celebration of the Oscars, the Large Association of Movie Blogs will be running a blog-a-thon of sorts, with a number of LAMBs writing a post on the field of a given category. This post serves as an announcement of the event to you, and also hammers out a number of details for the LAMBs. Thanks!)
Ok, the categories for the LAMB Oscars Uber-Event Type Thing (note: name needs work) have...
As you might have seen or heard already, I’ve installed a new feature to the LAMB – and this is another one that you can take with you!
On the left sidebar, you’ll now see a widget that is a feed reader for all of the current LAMBs (that I could get a feed for). Jed of The Movie-Fanatic had requested this of me previously (or at least, something like this) and it’s a great idea.
Whether you just come...
As you (my fellow LAMBs) have probably noticed, we’ve been doing our fair share of emailing back and forth lately about the various issues of the day. Most of what has been discussed has been related to the upcoming (?) Oscars, but there’s also some talk about suggestions for this site and other ways in general for us to team up/collaborate/what have you.
Long story short, you and I have probably been getting a lot of LAMB...
Well, unless you’re blind and/or really hungover, you’ve noticed that there are some aesthetic changes to the LAMB that have been made recently. Though I’m still working on a couple things (I’m no programmer), the new look is pretty much intact, and as a big bonus, the wonderful Mrs. Fletch has helped the LAMB out in a big way, crafting the buttons you see below, as well as the header you see above. (Mrs....
