I HATED this movie. It was like a being in the company of a manic-depressive that’s trying far too hard to convince you it’s alright.
It was okay, but I too found Poppy a little annoying. Honestly I don’t see why it’s got such high reviews from most critics.
I’m with Trav, as my score pretty much shows. Eddie Marsan was great, and Hawkins might have been, but I was too busy wanting to knock her character out to notice. It was like watching Dana Carvey’s Paul McCartney impression for two hours (flipsy mipsy with the flopsy wopsy). Shoot me.
I like the juxtaposition of Happy-Go-Lucky and Mike Leigh’s Naked.
