Pitch the LAMB: To Infinity and Beyond

by Courtney · January 30, 2010 · Pitch the LAMB · No Comments

They say that there are no good ideas left in Hollywood…so let’s give them some! Welcome to Pitch the LAMB a new monthly feature designed to both promote your blog and showcase your creativity at the same time.

Hi I am CS, the small mind behind Big Thoughts From A Small Mind, and I will be overseeing this newly revamped column for The LAMB. Pitch the LAMB allows you, the movie blogger, to create the movies you really want to see on the big screen. Each month I will post three helpful tools to get your creative juices flowing: 1) A movie genre, 2) A selection of movies from that particular genre, and 3) 10 random words usually associated with the genre. All you have to do is come up with an original idea for a movie (include a title and who would star) and post it on your blog.

The “pitch” can be in any form you wish: a brief plot synopsis, a one page script, a movie trailer, a simple paragraph, an outline of the characters involved, a movie poster with brief description, etc. Heck, your pitch can even be in the form of a movie review! Remember it is your film, and your blog, so pitch the movie however you want.

Once you have posted your film idea on your blog, send me an email (with a link to the post) at [email protected]. At the end of each month, I will post the links to all the submissions on The LAMB.

Keeping with this week’s buzz surrounding Avatar’s success and the launch of Apple’s IPad, it was only fitting that our inaugural Pitch the LAMB be…

Movie Genre: Science Fiction

Examples of Genre: The Matrix, Moon, Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Wall-E, Avatar, Solaris, Twelve Monkeys, Back to the Future, Akira

10 Random Words Often Used in the Genre: Clone, Future, Portal, Species, Planet, Religion, Device, Robot, Desolate, Order.

Lets hear your movie pitches!

Remember to email me the blog link to your movie pitch once you have posted it. Deadline for submissions is February 25, 2010.
