Site Name: Suspend Your Disbelief
Categories: Reviews, General, Editorials, Humor, Classic Film, Lists
Rating: PG-13

What is the main focus of your site?
I have been writing film reviews for years but now with my blog I am branching out into all sorts of movie-related features, editorials, lists and more. I tend to focus mainly on British and Hollywood but I also venture further afield occasionally. I hope my geeky love of films is infectious.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I want somewhere where I can write down all of my musings and share them with like-minded film fanatics. I hope I can inspire others to watch some truly brilliant movies and get excited about cinema the way I do.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Definitely interactive, I love to hear other movie lover’s opinions. Comments are always welcomed.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started my blog in May. My full-time job gets in the way of my vastly more enjoyable hobby but I try to post 2 or 3 times a week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Leon, Blade Runner, Aliens

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Through many of the great blogs that are members already.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
Why the name ‘Suspend your Disbelief’?

It’s a phrase my old film lecturer used to say a lot, originally coined by the poet Samuel Coleridge. It means we should accept something that would normally be seen as incredible or unbelievable, in order to appreciate unusual ideas – it’s obviously very relevant when watching films, especially my favourite genre of science fiction!
