Alright you jive-ass turkeys…it’s time to shut up and listen, ’cause grown ups is talking.
That’s right, it’s time for the Movie of the Month, and with it, the LAMBcast dedicated to said movie. If you haven’t seen the 2009 comedy that kisses the feet of the blaxploitation genre just prior to sweeping those feet from the ground, you’re missing out. Can you dig it? So kick back, have yourself some Anaconda malt liquor, and try to make the connection between something that “melts in your mouth” and “Little Richard.”
If you’re having trouble with that one, in the meantime you can check out all these badass fellow LAMBs that took part in the MOTM by writing about the comedy classic that is Black Dynamite:

It’s also time to vote on next month’s movie. I’ve included many of the choices from last month, but swapped a few out to keep it interesting. You have one week to vote.
If all that’s not enough for you, the LAMBcast took on BD as well. Jason, Nick, Stevee, Aiden and Dylan tried to analyze the film on a deep level, but mostly just riff on all the awesome things contained within.

If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too. Either here in the comments section or to [email protected] or to our Facebook page. Also, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.
Thanks for listening!

Here’s my review
http://fromthesupermassive.blogspot.com/2011/04/pay-attention-honkies.html
I can’t believe I didn’t notice this until now. I would have rewatched the movie and reviewed it again (and for real this time). I did write a little bit about it when I saw it in theaters. http://daveenkosky.blogspot.com/2009/10/movies-i-saw-this-week-oct-12-oct-18.html
Yeah sorta went under my radar as well. Furious Cinema did a quick review of Black Dynamite here: http://www.furiouscinema.com/2011/02/out-of-sight-ya-dig/
I appreciate the LAMB of the Week feedback, and have changed the design of my blog at long last. Web/blog design is not my strong suit. But I don’t think you guys are professional, if you are going to laugh at people’s blogs during the podcast. Think about being more respectful in future.
Hi Chris,
First off, I’d like to apologize. It’s been a long time since that episode, so I needed a refresher, but I went back and listened and you’re absolutely right – on the whole (not wanting to name names), we were disrespectful and took it too lightly. Although I do feel (like I said during the recording) that that segment had good intentions, it got out of hand there.
Not sure if it will make you feel any better, but that segment was discontinued shortly after this episode. As in, we did it one more episode and then it stopped and hasn’t been back since (nearly two years). So while I can’t recall the specifics of what I was thinking when I stopped it, I’m guessing that I had a sour taste in my mouth after this episode.
And FYI – your site looks much better! Nice header image. 😀
Apology accepted, and nice that you can see it from my point-of-view.
The suggestions in the podcast were actually spot on for the most part, and to be fair I needed to change the whole layout of my site a long time ago.
The only worry I have is that LAMB members who listened to that lambcast back then might have avoided my blog, after you guys criticized it so heavily, but hopefully that’s my imagination.
On the other hand, I did set myself for being torn apart, by asking you guys to look at my blog for LAMB of the week.
What you said about mixing movies and music makes sense, and I’ve done that a couple times this month.
And finally, thanks 🙂
