The 5th Annual LION Awards: Best Supporting Actress

by Rachel · February 20, 2012 · LIONs for LAMB · 8 Comments

The fourth LION Award is for Best Supporting Actress. This is the most intriguing category I’ve tallied (so far), because of the massive support for three separate Jessica Chastain roles.  How many made it or did she split the vote?

5. Jessica Chastain in The Tree of Life (39 points)

4. Shailene Woodley in The Descendants (46 points)

3. Jessica Chastain in The Help (50 points)

2. Carey Mulligan in Shame (53 points)

1. Octavia Spencer in The Help (73 points)

Chastain also received 25 points for her role in Take Shelter, giving her a total of 114. Tomorrow’s LION Award will go to Best Screenplay. Stay tuned.

Yay for Jessica! Total 114 points is cool.

  6. Rachel says:

@NTEMP – Mulligan also got several votes for Drive, but not nearly enough to place.

@ All the Chastain Lovers – She also got several votes on the Best Lead Actress ballot for Tree of Life and Take Shelter, but not enough to place.

I really enjoyed Jessica Chastain in Take Shelter, she really had the strongest performance in that film, too bad it didn’t place but I’m glad she still got some recognition!
