We’re down to the two biggies! First up is Best Director…
5. Paul Greengrass (Captain Phillips) – 32 points
4. Spike Jonze (Her) – 62 points
3. Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street) – 79 points
2. Steve McQueen (12 Years A Slave) – 111 points
1. Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity) – 207 points
The LAMBs have spoken and the overwhelming favourite director of the year is Alfonso Cuaron! His bold vision put him way ahead of the field, which included two other Oscar contenders (Steve McQueen and Martin Scorsese). Spike Jonze and Paul Greengrass rounded out the Top 5 and further down the list were Alexander Payne (12th) and David O. Russell (15th). Kudos to the LAMB for thinking outside the box.
The big finale (Top 10 Films of 2013) is tomorrow so make sure to come back for that one.
