The results are in and the people have spoken! On episode #148 of The LAMBcast , we held our third Actor’s Career Draft, in which Nolahn, Nick, Jay, Todd, and Dylan cycled through Tom Hanks’ filmography, selecting films of his to be on our “teams” for our own mythical film festivals. To make it a bit more challenging, as part of his hosting, Nolahn decided that – from our six-round draft – we’d have to throw out one of our picks (something from rounds 2-5). What remained were enough films to make it through his career, but it certainly gets a bit sketchy towards the end.
Once we did that, we slapped up a poll and asked you fine LAMB members to tell us who came away with the best (or at least, least worst) selection of films. And the winner is… see below.
We’ll no doubt have another Actor’s Career Draft on a future LAMBcast. If you’d like to join us for that, or any other LAMBcast, we love new blood. Just go to the Forums and keep an eye out there (or on FB or on Twitter) for the calls for volunteers.
I voted on Dylans list because of Turner and Hooch (underrated as hell, future MOTM?). But Nolahn put out a solid line-up. Its understandable that he bagged the win.
Congrats Nolahn, no idea how you won with The Money Pit though. I still stand by that being a terrible, terrible film.
My hat’s off to Nolahn who put together a great list and did a masterful job running the whole thing. At least I will always have the joy of snagging “Dragnet” away from him.
I voted for Nolahn. The Money Pit has always been a guilty pleasure for me. The rest of his lineup was awesome.
Great job Nolahn! I actually thought Dylan would win because of his strategy with Turner and Hooch.
