I recently put out the call for a new kind of Movie of the Month champion – a trilogy! We had an eclectic bunch of entrants, but as always there can be only one winner…
…and that winner is Back to the Future! It became pretty clear that this was a two horse race, with the other most critically acclaimed trilogy amongst the competition – The Godfather trilogy – making a valiant effort, but in the end Robert Zemeckis’ time-travelling wonder eventually won out.
Todd Liebenow of Forgotten Films has therefore claimed hosting duties for the feature discussion of the Lambcast episode, congratulations Todd! There is a Wild Card slot available to anyone that wants it – first come first served. Either leave a comment or drop me an e-mail. Or go back in time 100 years and arrange for a letter to be delivered to my exact spot right now, your choice.
As always, when that Lambcast is posted, any reviews the rest of the LAMB wishes to write about the film will be posted too. Please send in any submissions – new or old – to jaycluitt(at)hotmail.com by 18th April. I’ll accept reviews for any of the individual films, as well as the trilogy as a whole. That day will also see the next poll go up, so if you would like to champion a film for March’s MOTM, be sure to get in touch as well.
Here are the results of this month’s poll:
Forgotten Films will be ineligible to become a Champion for the next three months. Simplistic Reviews has two more months of ineligibility remaining, and Exploding Helicopter has one. Public Transportation Snob becomes eligible again with the next poll.
