Before the flood of new movies starts in the summer season, we have a few special programs to offer you. This is #4 in our series “Off the Beaten Path”
The goal is to find some films that are not typically talked about. Sometimes the reason is that the movie is a cult film that only appeals to a specialized audience. Maybe it is a film from a bygone era that was never seen as a classic, but has something to recommend it. We may even find forgotten films that deserve to be forgotten. The only requirement we impose on our guests on the show is that they themselves have not produced content based on the movie and hopefully have not seen anyone else who has done so either. In other words, It’s time to get lost.
Some childhood favorites are recalled fondly, and some distant comedies are visited for the first time. You never know what you are going to get on a show like this and that is exactly the point. We are not looking for blockbusters or award winners, we are digging deep to find something that you might not find on your own.
Richard is joined this week by Brian Eggert, David Brook, and Howard Casner, and all four of the Lambs have dug deep for something they think you might enjoy.
David and Richard plow through their piles of unwatched physical media for their choices, Howard has a plan for his movies to fit particulate categories, and Brian uses a logical system to find undiscovered territory. How can you resist the promise of a show like this? The answer is, you shouldn’t.
