We have had Alien vs. Predator, Jason vs. Freddy and enough Superhero faceoffs in both the Marvel and DC worlds, to fill a dozen podcasts. It’s time for something a little different. We brought together five stars that are known for their Action Chops in a variety of movies. Buddy Cop films, Science Fiction extravaganzas, and Hong Kong Martial arts movies all make it to the show. Five Lambs enter and two remain, and you, the LAMB community determine the final outcome.
Ten brackets match the stars and the Lambs advocating for them. Everyone got at least one showdown with everyone else. Stephen Palmer from the Asian Cinema Film Club, sticks to his brand with Jackie Chan in his corner. D.J. Valentine of Simplistic Reviews, can’t seem to get out of the Mission Impossible Franchise once he cracks that egg. Heather Baxendale-Walsh, from the MILFcast, is back, and heading to the chopper with her love of everything Arnold. And Richard tries to play it smart with Doctors, CIA Analysts and a space scoundrel.
Except for the occasional aside, we leave out the personal quirks of the stars themselves and focus primarily on their roles in some of the most iconic action films of all time. So come see how the films match up and listen to the smack talk as each of the guests tries to make the best case for their hero. Some outcomes will surprise you and some go exactly as you expect, but the conversation is always lively and fun.
You can’t go wrong with the movies we chose, but some of the decisions will be baffling. Listen and see if you can pick out a misstep, an over reach, or some other relevant point that makes the difference in the outcome. After you listen, come back here and vote for the final two Action Stars that made it to the final showdown.
