It’s the most wonderful time of the year, at least for some people. Here on the LAMB it is an opportunity to talk about Christmas/Holiday themed movies and to give the community some recommendations. This year we have some historical dramas, touching short films, transvestite stocking hangers, and some action flicks that all spread Christmas cheer or drama one way or another.
The Mad Lab Post’s Nicole Ayers has a short film grove that she likes to jam to, so two of her recommendations are brief but may be hard to rundown. Wicker Man Podcast creator Tony Coogan seems to like history, so if you want to celebrate Christmas in 1183 or 1914, he has a movie for you. Aaron Neuwirth, from We Live Entertainment brings us an animated film, a zombie musical and a movie shot on an i-phone to give you the holiday feels. And new to the Lambcast, Matthew Poirier of DTV Connoisseur, has a couple of Direct to Video Action films and a gay romantic comedy for you to snuggle by the fire with.
Don’t tell us you can’t find a Christmas movie that you haven’t seen a dozen times before, these movies are not necessarily off the beaten path, but the path is not yet well worn.
