This week on the Lambcast, we are entering the arena once again to battle wild animals, gladiators and our fellow LAMBs. 24 Years after the Academy Award Winning “Gladiator” starring Russel Crowe was unleashed on us, the legacy sequel “Gladiator II” enters the competition. Although it is doomed to be overshadowed by a behemoth Broadway musical adaptation at the Box Office, audiences are still going to be asked for a thumbs up or down on this echo from eternity.
Seated in the stands, awaiting their chance to render judgement on Ridley Scott’s newest film are three guests who know what the sting of battle means. Two time recent Draft Poll winner Aaron Neuwirth, from We Live Entertainment, comes to the show with some feisty opinions about the original film and his takes on the sequel. Daniel Chadwick-Shubat of Get Reel Movies, is a bigger fan of the 2000 film and had the highest of hopes for “Gladiator II”, will he be cheering it on to victory or having it euthanized for failing to perform? Finally, Nicole Ayers of the MadLabPost, weighs in on Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington, as the new Romans in this political intrigue and blood episode.
You, the Lamb Community, will be our instrument…
