This week we take a road trip, not with Mickey and Mallory or Bonnie and Clyde, but with Frank and The Bride, the creation of writer/director Maggie Gyllenhaal. All three sets of rod trippers are murderous creatures, but it may the the couple created in a lab that have something of a soul. That might be one of the themes of this film, if you look hard enough.

Deliberately absurdist, this adult style cartoon stitches together a variety of ideas, tones and old movie references to produce something that is visually striking but is it worth watching? Two of the guests this week, hardily endorse the film while two other guests just as hardily condemn it. Which way will the pendulum swing? You will have to join us to find out. Amanda Kirkham, Howard Casner, The Vern and Rachel Wagner debate the merits of the film and share some interpretations that they don’t all agree on.
