Gamers have taken over the LAMBcast this week, as the new Mortal Kombat movie hits the big screen. “Mortal Kombat II” is a direct sequel to the 2021 film and features many of the same actors and characters. There are of course new additions just like on the podcast

Returning from Lambcast #582 are Jeanette Ward and Lisa Leaheey, who have been playing the videogame since their days in school. New to the Franchise discussion are Aaron Neuwirth and Matt Poirier, both of whom have extensive gaming background as well. The focus is on the film, but be prepared to hear some workarounds and descriptions of button mashing that might boggle your brain.

Johnny Cage joins the lineup of Earthrealm Champions and Karl Urban brings his sarcastic persona to the game and the film as the big addition to the movie. A CGI craptacular is coming your way, but there are practical effects too, so don’t be dissuaded.
