From December 1st until Christmas Eve, here on the LAMB, we’ll be determining what is the BEST Christmas movie of all time. We’ve asked you all which films are the main contenders, and twenty-four of you replied with your choices, which will bauble battle it out for seasonal supremacy. It’s a head-to-head, single elimination tournament, so whichever film wins today moves onto the next round. However, here is not...
Well, Die Hard finally made it into the bracket and you all welcomed it to the party, pals. The second match-up in the Genre group saw John McClane drop Batman Returns off the top of the Nakatomi Plaza, and it looks like that kitty did not land on her feet. Here are the full results:
Final results:Congratulations to Die Hard and Simon for proceeding to the next round!…

So far in round 1 things have gone as expected, with the higher seeded films knocking out the lower ones, but today proves that the Rotten Tomatoes scoring method doesn’t necessarily coincide with how everyone thinks. Gremlins, the third seed in the Genre group, has successfully defeated Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, the first time a play-off winner has taken out a film that automatically found itself in the bracket proper. Congratulations to...

Yesterday Arthur Christmas got easily knocked out by It’s A Wonderful Life, but today’s results were far closer, with Elf taking on The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a real nail-biter on Facebook, with just one vote in it at the end of the poll, but over on the other social media sites Nightmare took it with a little more leeway, allowing Jack Skellington to skip his way off into the next...

It’s time to vote for the first movie of the month of 2019. The poll is at the bottom of the page, but first, the contenders!

Winter Kills (1979) [Troy Anderson, AndersonVision]
Stand By Me (1986) [Rob, MovieRob]
Misery (1990) [Chris...
A couple of weeks ago on the Lambcast we held a draft wherein the participants each built a team of the best 1960s movies, which you’ve been voting on. You can listen to the show here, it was a good one, and now it’s time to announce the winner. He, as usual, campaigned a little more than everyone else, but he also had a very solid team so I’m happy to announce that the draft winner is…...
It’s Lambpardy time again!
Jay hosts as returning (and most winningest) champion Chris “Tank” Tanski takes on a couple of Lambpardy newcomers Doug and Troy, who were either very tired or very hungover. Did this impede their playing abilities? Listen to find out!
Also on tap: a round of Mystery Alaska and some Rants, Raves and Reviews where the Lambcast finally settles this Oscar hosting...
The bracket proper has begun, and some LAMB favourites have already been knocked out. The first match saw the underdog Arthur Christmas face off against the might of It’s A Wonderful Life and, given how Arthur only barely defeated The Polar Express in the play-offs it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to hear that Clarence didn’t go around granting any wishes for Arthur and the Santa family today. Here are the full...
