The latest Movie of the Month has been decided upon!
It was another tight race this month for three contenders who presumably did a great deal of championing for their films. Ex Machina did well, and Timecrimes almost took it, so Kristen Lopez and Jason Soto should certainly be inclined to try again some other month, but the winning film for November is… And Then There Were None.…
...It’s Halloween (barely) and we’re finishing off 2016’s horror month by sitting around the campfire and revealing the movies that scared us, so stick a marshmallow on a stick, hold your flashlight under your chin and get ready to be far from terrified. In fact you’re more likely to feel embarrassed at the kind of thing that apparently scares us. Especially Damien.
Joining Jay Cluitt for this ghoulish...
This week we’re looking at two films which both had a great deal of buzz around them early on, be it from the festival circuit or being an adaptation of the latest must-read thriller (personally, I’d say your fine not to read it, I was underwhelmed), but which both ran into stumbling problems when they hit the general public. Here’s what the LAMB community had to say about The Birth Of A Nation and The Girl On The...
If you’re still reeling from the events of The Walking Dead series opener, have no fear, there’s even more zombies on their way via this week’s episode of the Lambcast, so grab your weapon of choice, be it a hatchet, baseball bat covered in barbed wire or a simple black marker, and let’s get going.
Jay Cluitt is joined by Darren Lucas, Howard Casner, Daniel Lackey and The Vern to wade through the hordes...
Five films for you this week, ranging from very small releases about chess and hazing to blockbusters about oil rig explosions and floating children, plus a Kate Winslet drama that frankly I didn’t much care for. Here’s what the LAMB community has to say:
Queen of Katwe

Since we are getting close to Halloween, we thought we would share our 3 most underrated horror films. Joining Vern and Kristen for the show is the expert of horror, Mr. Bloodbath of Blood Guts and Blu-Ray Podcast.
Now this list was difficult to put together and we know there are a lot of really good movies that didn’t get mentioned. Still this is a very fun show and we hope we gave you some good recommendations to check...
It’s almost Halloween, so we’re continuing our almost-month-long celebration of horror by chatting about some supposedly scary movies we’ve seen recently.
Jay Cluitt was joined by Sofia da Costa, Will Slater, Mario Brown and The Vern to discuss horror movies of all varieties, from classic Universal monsters to modern world releases, and a few in between as well.
Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week, a...
It’s time to announce the winner of the Western Movie Draft! A few weeks ago Kristen, Will, DJ, Nick and Howard all got together and competed to assemble the greatest team of western movies, and since then the LAMB community has voted on who created the best team. You can listen to the podcast on it here, which you absolutely must do if you enjoy people argueing about what is and isn’t a western, and now it’s time for the...
I’m not entirely sure, but I think the remake of The Magnificent Seven might have been better if at least one of the eponymous protectors was an animated talking stork. I think the very least that should happen is someone should make this movie, just so we can find out. For the time being, here’s what the LAMB community had to say about both of these movies:
The Magnificent Seven
It’s October, so once again the Lambcast is devoting most of the month to horror, starting out with another horror-themed Movie of the Month and, as is tradition, it went in a completely unexpected direction as this week we’re talking about the 1966 British “classic” Carry On Screaming.
Joining Jay Cluitt is Carry On… superfan Rebecca Sharp and bemused newbie Kristen Lopez to discuss the...
