The poll results are in – thank you to the 67 voters (a new high!) who have made The Thing the next MOTM. Here’s what needs to go down from here:
* The first thing you need to know is that June 11th is the big day.
* You have just under three weeks to watch the flick if you haven’t already, and to write up something, then send me the link ([email protected]) to either what you write or something...
Once again, I’d like to thank the 100+ voters that submitted nominations for the LAMMYs. It’s not easy and gets more difficult every year, with now over 900 LAMBs to nominate.
But now it’s time to celebrate all the hard work of the voters and the sites, so let’s pick some winners! The nominations are in, and your choices in 15 categories are below. For more information on the LAMMYs, see the introductory post...
So last week I go to check both the regular LAMB chops and the Bloody Chops emails, to prepare to get those posts ready and I find something rather disturbing…empty inboxes. And this was after I took a week off. I was taken back by this, then I was bummed, then I was upset, in that order.
I was upset cause I thought you guys liked the LAMB Chops and the Bloody Chops, but I guess that’s not the case anymore. I...
Well, it seems the For Your Consideration banners decorating the LAMB during the LAMMY nominations voting were very helpful, or at least entertaining, to most. We had a record-breaking 81 banners this year, up 16 from the 2010 LAMMYs. Thanks to all who sent them in and all the voters who actually took them under consideration.
And now for something new. There have been a few bloggers whom I regularly read discussing their DVD/Blu-Ray...

Andrew here, with another episode of LAMB Casting. We took a relatively new film the last time with P. T. Anderson’s Magnolia but this month we return to our classic roots and are recasting Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s 1950 Best Picture winner All About Eve. It’s a notorious ensemble (featuring one Oscar winning and four Oscar nominated performances) and it’s appeared time and time again on list of ...
The voters in our last MOTM poll overwhelmingly selected Oldboy as this month’s film, and it’s not hard to see why. Chan-wook Park’s genre-spanning 2003 film shockingly was not an instant classic, but has become more than a cult icon in the eight years since its release, climbing the IMDb Top 250 (it currently sits at #97) and, more importantly, becoming more and more known as one of the quintessential Asian films of the new...
I posted this on Facebook, but wanted to put the note up here as well: due to scheduling conflicts, the MOTM blog-a-thon (and the posting of the MOTM-themed LAMBcast) will be happening on Monday rather than today. The good news – this gives you more time to get your posts/reviews of Oldboy in!
Send all links to [email protected]. Thanks!
