What’s better than one feature discussion? How about four of ‘em?
It’s only took about three years, but I think it’s safe to say that we’ve got a nice stable of rotating general show outlines (Whatcha Been Watching Lately?, Roll Your Own Top 5, Franchise Look-Backs, etc), and Bring Your Own Discussion Topic is just one of...

Done? Ok, now, the show…
Coffee. Frances McDormand. Porn. Inventions. And corny time travel. Let it never be said that these types of episodes are run-of-the-mill. We travel all over the board and back again, exploring the various ways films can be compared to a myriad number of cheeses as well along the way.
Anyway,...
I don’t want to say that MOTM poll winner Justin (of Man, I Love Films) did anything improper to not only win the poll but destroy the competition (especially since he’s a friend of mine and writes for my site), but let’s just say that the reaction to his choice of film and the amount of reactions from LAMB members didn’t exactly substantiate the pick. And yet, it’s not as though we on the LAMBcast came up...
It was just a happy coincidence and/or poor (great?) planning that this show came not only just a week after the Vegas meetup episode, but also happened to feature three people (myself, Jason, and Lindsay) that were there for the meetup. So the three of us got to know each other a bit more, but to make it more interesting, we were also joined by Nick P. and Jay. This was an unorthodox show compared to our usual fare, where we’re...
To say that this is a special episode of the LAMBcast would be one of the larger understatements that I could make in this space. It’s also one of the more unconventional shows we’ve had.
I really can’t recall at the moment whose idea it was to have a LAMB meetup in Las Vegas, but I do know that once the idea was in my head (well over a year ago), I ran with it and ran hard. Very quickly, the notion to hold it...
It’s been a busy time around the LAMBcast parts as of late. Academy Award predictions, the recent Nightmare on Elm Street franchise look-back, the upcoming Las Vegas episode. As such, it was nice to kick and just talk about some recent viewings, theatrical or otherwise. On hand for the discussion was Joel, Kristen, Dan, Jay, and Dylan.

* Rants and Raves of the Week (featuring an epic – in...

I could easily lead off with some joke about how abstract Last Year at Marienbad is or how much I want to play Nim or what those people standing there like mannequins might have been thinking the whole time this film was made, but frankly, I think we did enough of that on the podcast (see below). Suffice to say, Marienbad is a strange, interesting, boring, mysterious, exciting, beautiful, bizarre film…often times all...
I believe the proper nomenclature is as follows:
*ahem*
If you got a problem, yo, we’ll solve it.
That’s basically the motto for the Ask the LAMB feature here, a segment that finds its host Jason Soto alternately begging for fun/interesting questions from LAMB members and (eventually) just trolling Yahoo Answers for the truly insane questions. It’s been a personal favorite feature of mine on the site,...
Strap yourselves in.
Lindsay, Jessica, Nick, Justin, and Dylan gathered round the campfire to rattle off their Top 5 films of 2012, and it’s an epic. As if that weren’t enough, we even threw in some special awards for key films/scenes/actors/etc. It’s a fun show that covers a surprisingly wide array of films…made even wider with Nick’s compulsion to name every honorable mention in his list of 400 films...
The Princess Bride? Watchmen? Dawn of the Dead? Big films, you might say? Night of the Comet can’t hear you. Kristen chose this barely-seen apocalyptic zombie sci-fi-comedy and it tore up the competition. The question is, is it underseen/underloved or justly forgotten?
Before we get to the links, here’s the IMDb summary for the film, for those that aren’t familiar with...
